Dedicated Safeguarding and ASB Teams

Our own Safeguarding team support vulnerable residents, residents with substance misuse and hoarders, we also have a dedicated Domestic Abuse and Safeguarding Coordinator within the team.

Last year we supported 318 vulnerable tenants, 130 of which were cases of domestic abuse.

Since the introduction of the Safeguarding Team we have supported 23 residents who hoard to clear their property and sustain their tenancies.

Our standalone Antisocial Behaviour Team consists of Witness advocates, our own Legal Officer and ASB Officers.

We have a partnership with Parkguard, to provide patrols 7 days per week on Poplar HARCA estates, and attend where residents report issues of ASB. Last year they liaised with 1520 residents on our estates.

Not only do Parkguard support with gathering evidence for antisocial behaviour cases, they also support our Safeguarding Team conducting welfare visits.

The team also work jointly with our Spotlight youth workers to engage and safeguard young people who are at risk of exploitation.

“The Safeguarding team have given me something to live for. Their time, support and effort has meant the world to me and I was reminded that I am worthy. I finally feel like I can see the future again.”
