Our Track Record

  • Consultation with young people at Culloden School and Langdon Park school at heart of masterplan engagement strategy and fundamental to masterplan development
  • Culloden school supported with multiple activities through community chest
  • Local boxing club supported with new meanwhile premises
  • Nine young people from the estate helped to design and build a covid-safe outdoor classroom to run last year’s summer youth programme
  • Weekly Spotlight satellite sessions held at Aberfeldy Community Centre
  • Aberfeldy young people benefit from programmes run 7 days a week at Spotlight with full creative programme  alongside sports, volunteering and youth empowerment
  • Health Spot, the new GP Service based at Spotlight Lansbury, offers appointments to local young people in Aberfeldy with ‘youth friendly’ doctors attending. Young people are given the option of being accompanied by their youth worker for support if required when they come to their appointment.

Future Plans

  • Potential to relocate Culloden school in the future protected via flexible masterplan design
  • Our youth facility Spotlight now covers 7 wards and will continue to include Aberfeldy. Young people from Aberfeldy are among the 4,729 young people engaged since April 19
  • Health SPOT– based at Spotlight premises will continue to reach out to young people from Aberfeldy
  • Spotlight has launched a new violence prevention service to reduce young people involved in violence. This will cover Aberfeldy
  • In process of raising £0.5M capital funding to refurbish Spotlight and reimagine our future services for young people
  • Aim to launch at least one new state of the art youth centre in Tower Hamlets within the next three years
