- The Tommy Flowers community pub is named after the computer engineer from Aberfeldy who built Colossus, the first programmable electronic computer which helped solve encrypted German messages during WWII
- The Creative Works programme saw Aberfeldy Street transformed into a space full of colour and life, transforming the high street with murals. Jan Kattein Architects referenced the Bangladeshi kantha tradition of recycling old textiles to create something new in the design, with residents providing fabric swatches as the basis for the patterns now seen in the street
- Making Space in Poplar host a range of community art workshops and performances from their shop in Aberfeldy Street
- The People’s Speak on Aberfeldy Street host regular Talkaoke sessions bringing the community together to discuss topics important to them

- Continue to support arts based programmes delivered by partners such as Making Space and the People’s Speak as the development progresses, and identify further opportunities for arts and cultural production through new space being created
- Build on community fashion programming at Poplar Works to extend creative opportunities more widely
- Working with partners and residents, identify potential meanwhile opportunities such as festivals and events during and post-construction
