Our Track Record
- £2m capital investment in Marner Children’s Centre
- £2.4m capital investment in Barnardo’s Bow Nursery (Tudor Lodge) – capacity 100 children, supporting 1000’s of families
- Universal youth service provision 5 days a week at Ian Mikardo School, The Workhouse, Eastside Community Centre, each supporting 800 young people a year
- Outreach work 2 days a week
- Programmes include arts & crafts, wellbeing sessions and sports with a focus on basketball delivered jointly with London Lions.
- Detached youth sessions 5 days a week include football at Central Foundation School and the successful Build-a-Bike programme with Bikeworks
- Bow East Spotlight for programmes and support
- Strong partnership with local safer neighbours policing team
- Lunchtime sessions and accredited courses for students at Bow School
- Partner with Neighbours in Poplar and SPLASH to deliver programmes that focus on sports and youth volunteering

Future Plans
- Universal Youth provision will continue 5 days a week at Ian Mikardo School as well as all existing specialist programmes in Eastside Community Centre plus sessions in Bow School.
- Directing young people from the estate to HealthSPOT – the new GP service providing primary healthcare to young people
- New boxing qualifications offered to young people in the estate.
- Outreach staff to promote violence prevention service and work with partners to engage young people in Stroudley Walk as well as their families
